Pusoy: arrange three hands
Pusoy, also called Chinese Poker, divides a 13-card hand into a three-card front, a five-card middle and a five-card back. The back must rank above the middle, and the middle above the front.
Its core idea is arrangement. You evaluate how to divide one collection of cards into three groups. A three-card front does not use the same range of hand types as a five-card hand; for example, a front-hand flush is not a scoring hand under the traditional reference rules.
Pusoy Dos: play your cards away
Pusoy Dos is a Philippine version of Big Two. Its central objective is to be the first to empty your hand by playing permitted cards or combinations. Twos rank high rather than low.
In other words, you are following a sequence of plays, rather than arranging all your cards into three rows. Suit order, special combinations and passing rules can differ between versions.

A simple learning exercise is to take a piece of paper and write the two names in separate columns. Under each, write what a turn or arrangement asks you to do. Keeping separate notes avoids accidentally carrying a rule from one game into the other.
Read the mode before using a guide
Match the article title to the exact mode shown on screen. Then check whether the help panel adds a variation. A guide about Pusoy Dos cannot stand in for instructions on a Pusoy table just because both names contain “Pusoy”.
This page explains traditional distinctions. It does not claim that every mode is available in every Tongits Go release, or that its scoring matches a particular App table.
